Using our services
These terms apply when you create an account, use a C & Kay Logistics address, request shopping assistance, ship cargo, arrange delivery, or otherwise use our website and services. By using a service, you confirm that you can enter into this agreement and that the information you provide is accurate.
Service availability, routes, schedules, rates, and estimated delivery times may change. Transit estimates are not guarantees and may be affected by carriers, customs, weather, inspections, holidays, or events outside our reasonable control.
Accounts and shipping details
You are responsible for keeping your account details current and your login credentials secure. Packages must be addressed exactly as shown in your account, including your assigned courier code.
A package received without enough information to identify the customer may be classified as unknown. Identification and processing fees may apply, and release may be delayed while ownership is verified.
Packages and prohibited items
You must provide complete and truthful descriptions, values, invoices, and any documents required for each shipment. You may not ship items that are illegal, dangerous, restricted by a carrier, or prohibited by Jamaican or origin-country law.
Restricted items may require prior approval, permits, special handling, or additional fees. We may refuse, hold, return, or surrender a shipment to the proper authority when required by law or where accepting it would create a safety or compliance risk.
Rates, duties, and payment
Charges may be based on actual weight, dimensional weight, service type, handling requirements, delivery location, storage time, and other costs disclosed for the shipment. Published rates may be updated before a shipment is accepted.
You are responsible for shipping charges, customs duties, taxes, penalties, storage charges, and other amounts assessed against your shipment. Packages may be held until all balances and required documents are received.
Customs and inspections
Customs authorities determine classification, value, duties, taxes, admissibility, and release. C & Kay Logistics may assist with clearance but does not control those decisions. You authorize us and our service partners to present shipment information and documents when reasonably needed to transport or clear your goods.
Customs or security authorities may open and inspect packages without notice. You remain responsible for the accuracy of declarations and for consequences caused by missing, inaccurate, or misleading information.
Collection, delivery, and storage
You must collect or arrange delivery of a released package within the stated grace period. Storage charges may apply after that period. Identification or authorization may be required before a package is released to you or another person.
Delivery availability and timing depend on the address, service area, access, and successful contact with the recipient. Risk transfers when a package is collected by or delivered to the customer or an authorized recipient.
Claims and responsibility
Inspect your shipment promptly and contact us as soon as possible if it is missing, damaged, or incorrect. A claim must include the tracking details, proof of value, photographs where relevant, and any other information reasonably needed to investigate.
To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for indirect or consequential losses, ordinary wear to outer packaging, prohibited or inadequately packed goods, customs actions, or delays outside our reasonable control. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or responsibilities that cannot legally be excluded.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms to reflect changes in our services, rates, operations, or legal obligations. The date above shows the latest revision. Continued use after an update means the revised terms apply to future services.
